This set of puppets belong to Jit Guat Sin and originate from Quanzhou. Most of the puppets have been repainted as the paint starts to fade due to wear and tear. Some of the puppets are white-faced as back in the old days, puppet makers used oil lamps to illuminate the puppets which appear as skin colour.
